Nominations for College Council

The Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia is responsible for the governance and regulation of the medical professions in accordance with the Nova Scotia Medical Act and its regulations.

The College's governing Council includes physician members, public members, a member appointed by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Dalhousie University and a member elected to the Residents' position.

Nominations for College Council open until March 3.

The election of a Councillor to the Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia in 2017 is required in the following electoral district:

  • District #2 - The counties of Pictou, Cumberland and Colchester

The election of two Councillors to the Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia in 2017 is required in the following electoral district:

  • District #5 - The county of Halifax

    Please submit your nomination form and biography to the Office of the Registrar no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017.
