Hearing reconvenes on May 26 to consider disposition
and costs regarding Dr. Stani Osif decision
Halifax, May 15, 2008 -- The disciplinary
Hearing examining the case of Dr. Stani Osif, a family
physician from Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, will reconvene
on Monday, May 26 at 9:30 a.m. sharp
in the third-floor boardroom of the College of Physicians
and Surgeons of Nova Scotia. The Hearing is scheduled
to continue until Tuesday, May 27.
The College announced on January 24, 2008 that the
Hearing Committee had found Dr. Osif guilty of certain
charges relating to a disciplinary matter that constitute
professional misconduct and professional incompetence
pursuant to Section 66(2)(e) of the Nova Scotia Medical
Act.
The Committee will reconvene on May 26 to determine
a disposition and costs related to the January 24
